On Saturday the 21st of March Kara Zachman was out here visiting us, and we really wanted to go for a nice hike. So being the outdoors-person she is, she lead us to this really nice hike just North on Hwy 101 of Lincoln City, OR. It was about a 6 mile hike round trip. It started off with a woodsy type feel. About a mile or so in, it became hilly and grassy. We made it to the top for a fabulous view that was well worth it. On the way back down we managed to spot 5 elk in close proximity. After the hike we got in the car and headed to a nice beach spot, Pacific City, OR. It is only about a 20 minute drive from Lincoln City up the 101. When we got there we took the dogs for some playing on the beach while Ross put together his kite and flew it high up in the sky!!
We were then getting really hungry from all that hiking, kite flying, and playing with the dogs...time to eat!! Luckily there is an awesome brew pub conveniently located on the beach!! Pelican Brew Pub!! YEAH!!
